Chandigarh: Shiroman Akali Dal (Sad) Sukhbir Singh Badal along with party leaders and workers held protests outside the Chief Minister Charajit Singh Channi in Chandigarh demanding compensation to reduce gasoline and diesel prices.
Prices of gasoline and diesel have seen trend increases over the past few weeks.
The price of two petroleum products decreases after the Center announces the deduction of gasoline and diesel customs each of RS 5 and RS 10.
Furthermore, some states and the United States reduce value added tax (VAT) on gasoline and diesel.
Meanwhile, Punjab, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand have not made a decision.
Taking to Twitter, Badal said, “Akali workers today conducted a political surgery strike on CM Chararjit Channi successfully in Gherao from his residence even though Garrisoning from Flat MLA & Barricading.
Akali Dal has sent a clear message to CM – stop the message and fulfill the promise Promises made for Punjabis.
“He further said,” The government of corrupt Congress and CM-CM who are only interested in booty and shifts of Akali workers assigned to the peace of Rs 10 / Ltr in front of CM Residence.
“Badal also tweeted said: “Akali workers also took the Gandhi family & demanded to stop protecting Cong leaders like #jagdishtytler who did ’84 genocide besides asking Chararjit Chanhi why he agreed to increase Tytler.
I thank our workers who decided to continue.
