Kolkata: There are 20 crimes against senior citizens in 2020 in Kolkata, up from 14 years 2019 but the lowest between 19 cities in India has a population above 20 lakh, according to NCRB data, according to NCRB data, according to NCRB data.

The city reported 14 cases of cheating in the first year of the pandemic where senior citizens were victims.
This was a significant increase from last year.

This will include offline campaigns as senior citizens who are often not familiar with technology.

However, what would make the police a little worried was that Covid ensured that the court function was greatly affected and not a single confidence secured in cases where the victims were over 60 years old.
There were 111 cases delayed in court where victims happened to be senior citizens.
Also, the police can capture only four accused of 20 strange cases registered last year.
Overall, Bengal has reported 344 cases of crime against senior citizens, a decline from 2019 when the 353 cases were reported.
At least 10 smaller states have reported a better number.
Among them, 12 cases were associated with murder and 19 of them tried to kill.
Three cases involving rape and attacks in women and 42 are associated with cheating and forgery.
According to the SOP prepared by Lalbazar, the Beat officer has been asked to visit houses where the elderly lives alone and took their telephone number.
The elderly is also recommended for CCTV cameras at home.
The police will help identify spots where the camera can be installed.
