Kolkata: Indian Steel Authority Limited (Sail) will advance with his decision to dismantle the raw material division (RMD) in Kolkata regardless of protests from the Banerjee Mamata government.
It moved 100 odd division employees to Bokaro, Rourkela, Bhilai and other places.
The WRIT petition submitted by the employees in this case was shocked by the Calcutta High Court bench on Friday.
“We were ordered to shift from Kolkata with the direct effect to the place where we had transferred,” said an employee of the division.
The division was founded in 1989 to bring the captive mine under one umbrella to ensure the supply of a smooth raw material from the mine to plants.
Maharatna PSU initiated restructuring last month carrying iron ore and flux mine in Odisha under Rourkela steel plants, mines in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh under the BHAYA steel bhilaha factory under the bokaro clothing factory.
Coal mine in Bengal is placed under the control of Bokaro Steel Administration.
PSU has three factories in Bengal – Durgapur steel factories, alloy steel mills and iisco.
The screen order on the restructuring incurred in June said: “All coal mines sail in Jharkhand along with coal mines in Bengal in Ramnagore and coal chaper will be under the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL).

“The Minister of Finance Amit Mitra wrote to the Steel Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan to reverse the decision to dismantle the raw material division in Kolkata.
He accused the letter since the Government of NDA came to the office in Delhi, there was a pattern of psus headquarters that changed from Kolkata.
Pradhan denied the allegations, but partners stated surprised because they did not clean the air about the raw material division.
Secretary General of Inttuc State Ritabrata Banerjee also highly protested the movement.
