Sales norms for recommended liquor brands

New Delhi: Delhi New Excise Policy The Government 2021-22 recommends sales and outstation sales criteria for registration of various liquor brands in the national capital to promote startup.
This policy has also shared almost all brands of liquor – rum, whiskey, beer, vodka, wine into various categories that will depend on certain brand prices and sales figures outside the national capital.
Whiskey: Under the new policy, the Excise Ministry has divided – ‘whiskey’ into five categories depending on the price, according to him, brands at RS 401 prices or above quarters, no sales figures (outside Delhi).
However, the policy said that the international whiskey brand was highly distributed in India and at retail prices to 600 per quart (200 ml), it must be registered if it has been sold more than 5 lakh cases around the world, in one of the two previous finance.
That year is, 2019-20 or 2020-21.
The economy brand with retail prices to RS 140 per liter, will be allowed registration in Delhi only if the brand has sold a minimum of 80,000 cases in the previous two years, namely, not including Delhi.
Brands with retail prices between Rs 141 and Rs 2,501 per liter, will be allowed registration in the Delhi National Capital Region only if these brands have sold a minimum of 1,20,000 cases throughout India, including Delhi, in one of the previous two years, policy documents are stated.
It is also said that brands at retail prices between Rs 251 and Rs 400 per liter must be allowed to registration only if they have sold a minimum of 60,000 cases throughout India.
The new policy policy, the Delhi government has divided the ‘rum’ into three categories: Rum brands with retail prices to RS 120 per Quart will be registered only if 50,000 cases have been sold throughout the country, including Delhi in 2019-2020 or 2020-2021.
It is said that the brand will also be eligible for registration, if the minimum need for the case above is sold at all times during the book 2021-22.
Meanwhile, the brand of rum at a price between Rs 121 to RS 250 per Quart will be registered only if it has sold 60,000 cases.
However, for Rum brands at retail prices above RS 250 per quart, there is no prescribed sales limit.
Beerin a new excise scheme in the national capital, the Delhi government has divided the beer brand based on alcohol content and MRP to Rs 100 per bottle.
They will be registered only if you have sold 3.50,000 bottles throughout India, including Delhi-NCR in the financial year, 2019-2020 or 2020-2021.
Likewise, the brand of beer with alcohol power above or below 5 percent with the MRP above Rs 100 per bottle (650 ml), there is no sales limit for prescribed.
For diet beer brands, there is no prescribed sales limit.
“Beer diet must have alcohol power under 5 percent and calorie value is less than 31 grams per 100 ml,” Delhi government documents relating to new excise policies are stated.
Furthermore, whatever international beer brand, including light beer will be registered only if it has sold more than 5,00,000 cases worldwide in one of the two previous financial years, 2019-2020 or 2020-2021.
For brewers with lower prices, the registration criteria include sales of 1.5 lakh throughout India if it has alcohol power up to 5 percent.
If it is a strong beer with alcohol power above 5 percent and prices up to RS 100 per bottle of quart (650 ml), the criteria for sales figures are 3.5 lakh throughout the country for registration in Delhi.
For brandy brands, vodka, gin, and alcoholic mixtures with alcoholic power of less than 8 percent, there is no specified sales limit, the word policy.
