PUNE: The proprietor of Wanowrie-based Style Plus Salon, Mohammad Fayaz, was enthusiastic because he opened his store on Tuesday and served as many clients, who’d come for a costume.
By day nonetheless, all of his enthusiasm vanished.
“I’ve been advised of a tweet by the mayor saying that spas, salons, spas, etc, cannot open.
I’d opened my store after two weeks as the state authorities hadn’t given the sort of non-essential stores that could start.
The concept has made me ,” shared Fayaz.
With many salons starting shutters on Tuesday, the concept in Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, abandoned owners frustrated.
Kiran Shinde, who conducts New Delight Men’s Parlour in Kasba Peth, did not even open his store on Tuesday.
“I cannot risk opening and paying hefty penalties when I’m neck deep in debt.
This past calendar year, salons were shut for about six to seven weeks and now, later we could start, I managed to save a little cash, which will be sustaining me currently.
But, leasing, staff wages, invoice payments, etc, have just taken a backseat,” explained Shinde.
An office holder using Pune Nabhik Seva Sangh, an institution of barbers, stated they have asked authorities to permit them to run under strict rules with no delays.
