Do you feel inspired by the amazing transformation of Farhan Akhtar in ‘Tofaan’ and finding yourself wondering how he managed to achieve it? When the sports film continues to make noise, Ethim relates to Samir Jaura’s celebrity fitness coach who broke down about the actor regime and how they worked together to help achieve the appearance of the film.
Quotes from conversation:
Farhan’s physical transformation is really at the point …
The response is amazing.
People really like their appearance.
No one can deny that he is a real boxer.
And all situations where body transformation is needed is welcomed perfectly.
You have been a Farhan guide for almost two decades now.
How is your bond with him developed for years?
It’s amazing.
I did not realize that 17 years had passed.
Bonds have grown for years and it only becomes stronger.
He becomes more like a friend now.
One thing that remains the same in all 27 years is when we enter the gym, we are really dedicated.
Farhan has three different appearances for this film – the star’s young-eyed boxer, the athlete who has let himself go, and once again, the boxer is determined.
How do you help him reach this different physical attribute?
The first look was when Farhan was really thin in the film and he wanted to get into a boxing so he went to a coach for it.
In the first view, it has been shown that he has started a boxing trip and gradually becomes a little muscular.
Then he changed himself by getting more muscles as he raised a boxing match.
The second look is when he becomes very muscular.
For the third view, he must be fat because he has been forbidden to enter a boxing ring and start living regular life by eating a lot and leaving training.
These are three appearances achieved.
There is no VFX involved; All of his appearances are achieved with dedication.
He really put a good weight for the third view.
What is the Farhan diet?
Diet plans and training are both different for different displays.
For the first view, it focuses on high protein intake and low carbohydrates.
For muscle versions, protein intake and higher carbohydrates with heavy training.
For the display where he becomes fat, he must eat heavy food.
You used to work with him for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ too.
Which film feels more challenging?
I believe that every film is equipped with a different challenge by itself, so you cannot compare.
But according to the question, if you compare two films, then in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, he must run, which everyone is always done in their lives, but in ‘toofaan’, he must tie him and learn it from the beginning, so ‘toofan’ more challenging.
What did the training process for a actor for film involved?
It depends on what the film demands.
Like in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, Farhan must look slim and very fit; In ‘Toofan’, it has three transformations – so, every display has a different approach.
The determining factor is what scripts and sketches of characters must be played by an actor on the screen.
