Samiti train expects a lot of goods in the budget

Mangaluru: Train Paschima Karavali Yatri Abhivrudhi Samiti has placed high expectations in the allocation for Mangaluru in the railroad budget, which will be presented as part of the public budget on Tuesday.
In addition to expecting full funding allocations for construction work subject to fourth and fifth platform sanctions at Mangaluru Central, Samiti also expects full fund allocation for the approved double job between Mangaluru Junction and Panambut, including the construction of tunnels in Kulshekar.
In December last year, the general manager of the South Railroad John Thomas said work on an additional two platforms at the station had begun and the work of the development of the pit line will be completed in March and the new platform will be ready in September.
Additional platforms will help trains to operate more trains to the Mangaluru Central train station.
Hanumantha Kamath, a former member of the Divisional Railroad User Consultation Committee (DRUCC) and President Samiti, said they expect allocations for the job approved to move the Bunder Good Yard to Ullal Station and also multiplying between Mangaluru Junction and Central Mangaluru, which will open the way For faster train movements.
Kamath said they also expect adequate allocation of funds for the second entry job that was approved to the Mangaloru Central Station in terms of Attaavara – the work consisting of the construction of arrival halls, extensive circulation areas and additional passenger facilities and also to provide additional platforms in Mangaluru Junction.
They were also urged for sanction work to improve the Jocattle Station to facilitate the beginning and accept trains from Kerala / Tamil Nadu countries; Working to double the mangaluru-bengaluru railroad and double the KONKAN train line.
