UIWANG / South Korea: Samsung Electronic Deputy Chairman Jay Y Lee, was convicted of bribery and embezzlement, released with parole on Friday.
Lee appeared outside the Seoul detention center, wearing a dark gray suit and looked thinner than when he was last detained in January.
“I have caused a lot of attention to people.
I really apologize,” Lee told reporters.
“I listened to concerns, criticisms, concerns and high hopes for me.
I will work hard.” In the symbolic movement, Samsung Electronics on Thursday did good at the promise by Lee by announcing it has signed its first agreement with four company unions that cover office provisions and guarantees that union activities will be permitted.
Lee swore in May 2020 to increase the rights of workers in the technology giant.
The raft of Samsung employees has been found guilty of sabotage trade union activities.
