Samsung has surprised the Galaxy S8 and S8 + users with unexpected software updates even after ending the support cycle of the two old devices ago Korea Giant smartphone released the last security update for 5-year devices in September 2021 and now has launched a security patch for these devices.
Sammobile reports that the firmware update version is called G95XFXXUCDUK1 and has been released in France with the possibility to expand to more markets during the coming day.
New security updates complete several security and related privacy issues.
If you have the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 + and are French residents, you might have been told about new updates.
If you have not received the notification yet, you can install updates manually by going to Settings and then software updates and select the download button to install it.
You can also use the firmware database to download new firmware files and Samsung flash launches both Galaxy S8 and S8 + in 2017 and it comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The device gets Android 8.0 in 2018 and 2019 it gets an update of one UI based on Android 9 pie.
Having the latest security update on your phone is always a good thing, but Samsung has no plans to launch a large OS update for this device so one doesn’t have to get their expectations for Android 10 or 11.
