Samsung teases the new OLED folding screen

Samsung is the largest manufacturer of small-sized OLED panels in the world.
Small panels are used in smartphones and tablets including Apple iPhone 12, Apple iPhone 13 and folding devices such as Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3.
Recently, the technology giant also began producing medium-sized OLED panels with a high refresh rate for laptops.
Now, seen by Sammobile, the company has established a new website featuring various types of flexible OLED panels they made.
Korean manufacturers call it a flexible OLED panel ‘Flex OLED’.
There are five sub-categories of flex OLED mentioned on the website – Flex Bar, Flex Note, Flex Square, Flex which can be folded, and flexible slidable.
The OLED bar flex is used in a clamshell-style folding smartphone like the Galaxy Z Flip3 while OLED Flex Square is for a folding smartphone like the Galaxy Z Fold3.
OLED FLEX notes are for laptops with folding screens.
OLED Flex Slidable can be used on devices with slidable screens.
Such a device prototype was exhibited by Oppo last year but until now there was no word from the company about the production of smartphones.
OLED Flex that can be folded by Samsung can be used in a device with a removable screen.
One of these devices is LG Rollable TV which is equipped with a foldable screen.
Samsung does not have a product that displays flex flex or folded roll, but it is possible we can see the device with this OLED immediately.
The company claims that even with the use of 100 times a day, ultra thin glass stands up to more than five years of constant use.
It was the same as lasting more than 200,000 folds and still functioning properly, in a test verified by Bureau Veritas.
