Samsung has revealed that all TVs come loaded with features that allow companies not to deactivate it if they are stolen.
In an effort to overcome the problem of stolen TV from warehouses in South Africa, Samsung has announced that it activates this feature – called the television block function – on all its TV devices.
According to South Korean technology giants, “the blocking system is intended to be carried out in connection with the television that has been obtained by users in a way that violates the law and in some cases, stolen from the Samsung warehouse.” How the Samsung Workamsung television block function explains that TV blocks are remote security solutions that should be detected if the Samsung TV unit has been activated.
The company said that he wanted to ensure that television devices could only be used by legitimate owners with valid proof of purchase.
Blocking Samsung TV will take effect when television users are stolen connected to the internet, which is needed to operate Smart Television.
Samsung said that once the TV is connected to the internet, the device serial number is identified on the Samsung server and the blocking system is implemented, which will deactivate all television functions.
Is the Samsung television block function work in other areas too? In the official communication, Samsung said that this technology was published earlier on all Samsung TV products.
