Samsung finally launched a 200MP camera sensor which was widely reported for smartphones.
Dubbed as Isocell HP1, this is the first 200MP image sensor industry with a pixel of 0.64μm and dynamic binning pixel technology.
In addition, the company has also launched an ISOCELL GN5 sensor, a slim sensor for smartphones, the first adopt all directions focus on Dual Pixel Pro technology with photodiodes in one pixel 1.0μm.
Isocell HP1: The new 200MP ISOCELL HP1 featureThe has an original pixel size of 0.64μm and has a sensor size of 1 / 1.22 inches.
The company claims that sensors bring ultra high resolution in compact packages that match modern handheld devices.
This sensor has chameleoncell technology that is all new, binning pixel technology that uses 2×2 or 4×4 or full pixel layouts depending on environmental lighting.
In 2×2, this sensor offers photos of 50MP pixel binned with pixels 1.28μm.
In 4×4 mode, the sensor offers 12.4MP image with a pixel size of 2.65μm.
Isocell HP1 can also record 8K video resolution at 30 frames-per-seconds (FPS) with a minimum loss in the field of view.
Isocell GN5: Featuresthe Isocell GN5, on the other hand, has a 50MP camera sensor.
The company claims that it is also the first 50MP smartphone camera sensor in the world with dual pixel autofocus technology for all automatic focus directions.
GN5 displays a 1 / 1.15-inch sensor with a 1μm original pixel size.
It supports 2×2 pixel perish and provides 12.5MP images under low light conditions.
This sensor also displays the technology of Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) which claims to absorb as much light as possible in pixels and reduce crosstalk for lower noise.
Just like HP1, GN5 can also capture 8K video resolution at 30fps.
It can also do 4K videos at 120fps.
