Patna: The state government on Tuesday suspended two IPS officers and 15 others, including 4 Sub-Division (SDPO) police officers, for the alleged Nexus with the sand of the mafia mining in six districts.
According to the Minister of Department of Mine and the Geology Department Jan, illegal sand mining on the Seore Sone resulted in the annual loss of the RS700 Crore on state revenues.
The suspended IPS officer was Sudheer Kumar Porika and Rakesh Kumar Dubey.
Porika was an IPS Batch 2010 officer while Dubey was promoted to IPS cadres sometimes back.
They were recently removed as SP from Aurangabad and Bhojpur.
Tanveer Ahmed, Pankaj Kumar Rumpat, Anup Kumar and Sanjay Kumar, who were also removed as SDPO PALIAND, BHOJPUR, Aurangabad conscious and Dehri, respectively, on similar charges, has also been suspended.
AX has also fallen on the former Dehri SDO Sunil Kumar Singh, three circle officers, one motor vehicle inspector and six officers from the Mining and Geological Department.
All excluded from the post of the field almost 13 days back after an internal investigation by the state police violation unit (Eou) of the state of 42 officers because they were found to be acting in smugglers with sand smugglers.
In accordance with the resolution of the Department of House, Porika and DuBey found allegedly not acting responsibly illegal sand mining, storage and transportation, they help those involved in such activities with themselves, failing to maintain effective control of their subordinates in each district and experienced alleged character.
The decision has been taken to begin the department process against them.
This resolution also reads that they are suspended with direct effects, see serious properties of allegations against them.
It has been mentioned in the resolution that the decision has been taken in the Eou investigation report and recommendations made by DGP.
