Sand River Mining Set to Return in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Cleaning the deck for the use of river sand in construction after about a decade, the Tamil Nadu government fixes 1,000 per unit as a basic sand, and launched a set of guidelines for supplying sand with “fair and transparent ways”.
To start, the Department of Water Resources allows 16 mining trucks and sand mine 21 Bullock, which has environmental permits (EC), to operate.

The construction industry was fast to welcome the reopening of the river sand mine, but warned the government to the lawyer.
