Cleveland (USA): Sania Mirza India and his American partner Christina Mchale advanced to the tennis semifinals on the tournament land with a direct victory over Lucie Hradecka and Shuai Zhang.
Mirza and Mchale had to destroy sweat, beat Hradecka Czech Republic and Chinese partners Zhang 6-3 6-3 in one hour a minute in the women’s double quarter-finals Thursday night.
The Indian-American pair was impressed with the first service (78.9%) and convert five out of nine break points to claim a comfortable victory.
Mirza and Mchale will face Norway Ulrikke Eikeri and America Catherine Harrison in the semifinals.
They have not dropped a set in the tournament because they have defeated Oksana Kalashnikova Georgia and Mitra Romania, Andreea Mitu 6-3 6-2 in the opening round.
