Sania Mirza said the 2022 season would be the last

Melbourne: Indian Tennis Bintang Sania Mirza on Wednesday announced that 2022 would be her last season since her body “exploded” and motivation and energy for everyday busyness was not the same anymore.
Mirza, 35, has returned to tennis after giving birth to his son in March 2019 but his progress was then thwarted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mirza made an announcement of retirement after losing the first round of the Australian woman open with Nadia Kichenok’s partner.
“There are many reasons for that.
It’s not as simple as ‘okay I won’t play’ , “Mirza said at a post-match press conference.
“My body exploded.
My knees really hurt today and I didn’t say that the reason we lost but I thought that it took the time to recover when I was getting older,” he said.
