Sanjana Sanghi is among the few actresses who went on to win hearts in ‘Rockstar’ as a child actor to pocket his first major role in ‘Dil Bechara’ as the leading lady.

Excerpts from the conversation:
Congratulations on completing 10 years in the industry.
What comes to your mind when you look back at the beginning?
Thank you very much.
When I look back, the first thing I feel is gratitude in an amount that can not be repaired.
If it were not for ‘Rockstar’ as a child actor, then I do not think I would ever find my way in the film.
Now the passion of my life.

Your role in ‘Rockstar’ is small but you shine in your appearance.
Looking back, is there anything you would like to change it now?
My role in ‘Rockstar’ definitely limited but thank you for thinking that it was the most shining.
I’m not really aware of the fact that even after many years, people not only remember but also to connect with Mandy.
That meant that he had entered their subconscious.
Because you asked me what I would do differently if I was playing today, part of me thinks I will not be able to play today.
I think the performance is much related to rawasinya and innocence that I have in myself as a 13-14 year old boy who is so new in the film world.
It adds so much to MANDY.
That is something that can only be made at that time.
These things are very special so that they occur at the proper time and place, so I would never try to touch Mandy again or to add or subtract anything.
He’s not a perfect character at all, but just that I would not do it any other way.
You are a big fan of Ranbir.
How does it work? Are you still in touch?
I’m definitely a fan of Ranbir.
I became their biggest fans when I met him in Dharamsala on the set of ‘Rockstar’ because there are a large number of instant comfort, support and encouragement that come from all sides.
Quite frankly made me feel right at home on the set.
We share the most crazy banter, filled with sarcasm, that only we understand at the time, and kept the same as today.
I have been in touch; This is a valuable and special bond.
Not every child actor became a leading lady, but you make it happen.
What do you think about that? Have you always wanted to join the industry?
I guess you do not really, not every child actor ended up being the leading lady in that sense, and if you asked me if I always wanted to be an actress, then I would say play mandy and was on the set rockstar made me fall in love with the movie forever.
I’m very, very academically throughout my life.
I have always loved learning, but also dancing and arguing – just being on stage.
I gave me the most for any opportunity that comes my way after ‘Rockstar’, auditioned for everything I asked for, never have a plan or a special milestone, but just want to do everything academically in high school and college, and become semi-professional.
The actor – that’s how I can do more than 100 TV commercials and small parts in the film while at school and college.
Need work all the time, with the support of family, friends and my teachers who understand these different journey.
Looking back, I am just thankful that I continue to work discipline and put the hard work because I did not imagine it any other way and I do not want it.
