Hyderabad: The Privile Lok Sabha committee issued a notification to the Head of Secretary of Telangana Somesh Kumar based on complaints from MP Karimnagar Bandi Sanjay against his illegal arrest in Telangana.
Bandi Sanjay has appeared before the committee in Delhi on Friday and explained what he faced in the hands of the police.
He talked about his arrest on January 2 in Karimnagar where he had taken protests against GO 317.
The Privilege Committee would hear this problem on February 2 at 3 pm.
The Committee has issued a notification to the Main Secretary (House) Ravi Gupta, Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy, Police Commissioner (Karimnagar) V Satyanarayana, ACP Karimnagar Srinivasa Rao, DSP Jagtial Prakash and Inspector of Police Office Karimnagar, Lakshmi Babu.
They must appear before the committee gives oral statement.
