The new special investigation team (SIT) led by Deputy Deputy for Narcotics Control Bureau General Sanjay Singh on Saturday began investigating in six drug cases including Aryan Khan submitted with the Zonal Office of Mumbai.
Singh, a 1996 Batch IPS officer, will take over the investigation of all six cases leading to the director Zonal Sammer Wankhede, including a sensational cruises party attack on October 2 where Aryan Khan, Bollywood’s son Megastar Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested.
On Friday, the NCB formed a sit led by Singh to investigate these cases and move Wankhede from the investigation team a week after the agency initiated its alleged investigation.

NCB’s statement issued on Friday said that a sit consisting of officers from the NCB headquarters operations had been formed by the Director General, NCB to take over the total six cases from the Zonal Mumbai NCB unit which had national and international consequences, to conduct investigations deeper to know the relevance of forward and backward.
The statement also said that there were no officers or officers who had been excluded from their current role and they would continue to help investigate the operation branch as requested until each specific order was released the opposite.

This confirms that NCB functions throughout India as an integrated institution.
However, Wankhede denied that he had been removed from the case and said, “I have not been removed from the investigation.
It was a request for my writing in court that the problem was examined by the central agent.
So Aryan Khan Khan and Sameer Khan cases are being examined by a special investigation team Delhi.
This is a coordination between the NCB Delhi and Mumbai teams.
”
He has been under the clouds for various reasons including allegations of corruption, fake caste certificates, luxury lifestyle, and target high profile individuals, especially from the Bollywood and glamorous industries with relatively not significant drug seizures, etc.
