Ghaziabad: Reacting to Minister of Union and Muzaffarnagar MP Sanjeev Balyan’s statement that if Samyukta Kisan Morcha wants to enter politics, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will welcome them, Union leader Bharatiya Kisan Tikait Rakesh on Monday says Balyan must come out supporting farmers because the public chooses for power.
Speaking to Ani, Tikait rejected the prospect of joining politics and said that, “Sanjeev Balyan must come to support farmers because the public has chosen it to be in power.” He further added that “there are leaders in BJP who support farmers.
People know who the leaders do not support farmers, they will react according to it.
Balyan must support farmers such as Varun Gandhi and Satya Pal Malik.” On Sunday, Balyan has made a statement that, “It can be said that farmer agitation takes politics.
Everyone has the right to practice politics.
If they (Samyukta Kisan Morcha) want to come in politics, we will welcome them.” Tikait also mentioned that , “Everyone who is part of the government and supporters of farmers, they must advance and begin dialogue with farmers to sort out their problems.”
