Sans worked hard to pay in the UAE, women escaped; Aid embassy helps him back

Bengaluru: Twenty hours of working a day without being paid a penny, no changing clothes, and a fighting passport – this summarizes the four-month trial of a 27-year-old Bengaluru woman experienced in Abu Dhabi.
The victim finally escaped by jumping from the window of his employer’s house and looking for asylum at the Indian Embassy.
On Friday, the woman reached Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), the relief returned to Homeland Writ Besar on his face.
Nimisha (name changed) was born and raised in Bagalur, Bengaluru Urban, and supported his family, including elderly parents and three young brothers, by working as domestic aid in the region.
But the Covid crisis left unemployed and he struggled to support his family and bought drugs for his parents.
Then he found someone he thought was Godsend: Aisha from Goripalya, an illegal agent, who promised to put it as a domestic aid in Abu Dhabi for monthly payments of Rs 30,000.
“For someone who struggles to meet the needs of Bengaluru, the offer is lure.
So, he accepts it and flew to the UAE,” said PN Nagendra Babu, an officer attached to the Emigrant Protective Office, Bengaluru, who received Nimisha in Kia.
When landing in Abu Dhabi, Nimisha was accepted by the Sri Lankan agent, which was identified as Ajmal, who led him to his employer, the Emirati family.
But waiting for a Bengaluru woman is an endless work, including cleaning, washing, and gardening.
