Guwahati: Head of Minister of Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma here on Monday presented the Silpi Award 2022 to the country’s leading artist, Dr.
Aparna Bujarbaruah and Polak Banerjee, on the occasion of the Divas Silpi, to mark the warning of the death of the state cultural icon and Freedom Fighter Jyoti Prasad Agaru.He too Submit 2021 Bishnu Rabha award for painters and Sonaram Sonaram Nath and Folk Artiste Dron Bhuyan; Natasurya Phani Sarma Award 2021 for dramatic Abinash Sarma and Upakul Bordoloi; And Beer Raghav Moran Award 2021 to Education and Litterateur Dr.
Upen Rabha Hakasam.
He also presents Silpi’s pension for 2021 to 50 selected recipients.
Meanwhile congratulations to the famous recipients of awards, Sarma said their achievements and awards would inspire others to pursue cultural activities.
