Rajkot: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Catch Husband Sarpanch Women from Bhuj Taluka in Kutch District to accept RS 3 Lakh bribes from an employee of a mine and a mineral company to allow permission from the mine.
According to ACB officials, Kukma Sarpanch Village Kankuben Marwada and her husband Amrut Marwada demanded Rs 5 lakh from a company that had a mine in Kukma Village for giving permission to carry out construction near the mine.
The company has paid Rs 1 lakh in bribery but Sarpana and her husband demanded more Rs 4 lakh.
The management of the company approaches ACB and submits complaints against partners.
“We put the trap on Thursday night where Sarpanch was asked to collect Rs 4 lakh from the company’s office in Bhuj.
Amrut Marwada and two servants – Ravji Bochiya and Ritesh Bochiya – come there and we caught them to accept Rs 4 Lakh bribes.
We also arrested Kankuben Marwada Sarpanch woman on Friday, “said an ACB official.
