Sarpanch holds Rs 48,000 bribes from contractors

Letter: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Sleuth Catch the Sarjun Sarjun, a remote tribal village in Kaprada Taluka from Valsad, for allegedly taking bribes of Rs 48,000 from road contractors.
Allegations of Bharat Raut initially demanded Rs 70,000, but after negotiations approved Rs 48,000.
The expression was allegedly demanding money from road contractors because it released its payment for road construction in his village.
Resmiacb officials said that the look was arrested from open land outside Rain Basera on Jalan Kaprada-Nashik.
The investigation revealed that road contractors had completed the work of road carpets in Karjun Village and installed RUBS by Rs 4.88 lakh.
“The accusation did not release payment and demand Rs 70,000.
But the complainant refuses to pay bribes and contact us,” ACB official said.
The trap was placed by D M Vasava, Police Inspector, Varsad-Dang ACB under the supervision of K Chauhan, Assistant Director, ACB, Letter.
The expression has become a sarpanch from the village for more than four years.
This is his first term as a village head.
ACB has also launched an investigation to assess the wealth and income of the exhibition.
