Sarpanch is held for illegal speed breakers that kill two

Vadodara: Sarpanch from a village in Chhota Udepur Regency was detained on Thursday to build illegal speed breakers which resulted in the accident that killed two motorists and left two co-passengers injured on Wednesday night.
Sarpanch Vikram Rathwa and a Bhavsing Rathwa tractor driver who helped make speed breakers ordered at the Chhota Udepur police station because of the guilty murder that did not number murder.
The police said that Vikram and Bhavsing built the speed breaker after the curve on the road in Bharundafaliya in Achhala Village on Wednesday night.
Sarpanch felt that the passengers were used for excessive stretches that caused an accident.
Duo makes not standardized speed breakers using lump lumps and construction waste.
On Wednesday night, one of Pasu Rathwa who died (52) and his friend Ishwar Rathwa returned to their homes through Achhala village.
When the duo has passed the same road in the morning, there is no speed breaker.
On the way back, Kanu did not anticipate speed breakers and lose control over the vehicle while driving on it.
Kanu gave up in a place while Ishwar suffered a minor injury in his left and leg.
Moments later, the couple – Soniyabhai Rathwa (60) and Zini Rathwa – too met with the same fate.
Soniyabhai did not pay attention to the speed breaker due to darkness and met the accident.
Soniyabhai was referred to the SSG hospital in Vadodara where he died during treatment while Zini was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
For information about two accidents spread in the area, a large crowd gathered at the location.
While questioning the local residents, the police knew that Sarpanch and Bhavsing had built speed breakers.
Then, based on Ishwar complaints, a violation was registered with Sarpana.
“We have detained Vikram and he is in quarantine because the Covid-19 test is waiting.
During the preliminary interrogation, he said he decided to build a speed breaker because several accidents took place in stretches,” said JK Patel, Inspector of the Chhota Air Station Office .
“Sarpanch does not have the authority to build speed breakers on public roads,” he added.
On Thursday night, senior police department officials, roads and building departments and RTO visited the site to be examined.
