Chennai: Former Chief of the Minister of Jayalalithaa, who was recognized by foster children V n Sudhukan walked out of Bengalaru prison on Saturday.
He is one of the convicts in the case of disproportionate assets, where he and his aunt V K Sasikala and J ilavarasi serve a four-year sentence.
The Special Court in Bengaluru has reduced 89 days in prison from his tenure in Fouryear in December last year, considering the days he spent in Tamil Nadu prison.
The court ordered the release only after he paid a fine ₹ 10 crore.
“He was supposed to be released last year, but the term was extended by one year not to pay a fine.
Sudhakan’s wife paid another fine of ₹ 10,000 recently, a draft request submitted to the court for his previous liberation.
He was released at 11 am.

The case against Jayalalithaa stood subsided, while Sasikala, Irenavarasi and Sudhakanan went to prison on February 15, 2017.
Sudhakanan was a younger brother of the Ammk leader T v Dhinakanan.
In 1995, Jayalalithaa adopted him and made his big marriage with Sivaji’s grandson Ganesan.
