Mumbai / New Delhi: Dining catering in flights and pacer satay, owned by the Singapore government through Temasek, is coating fresh investment in India, improving the game in this world.
Significantly, it routes the investment through 100% of the Sat Sat Sat Sats of India and not through the existing joint venture, Sat Taj, where it holds 49% of the shares.
Sat will invest 200 crore Rs to establish a kitchen at Bengaluru Airport, according to the company, is a “first big investment” in India.
In addition to Sat Tajs, where the Tata Group holds 51% in catering eating in flights, Singapore companies have an equity interest in the Sats Air India Handler, where it holds the same bet with national operators.
Bengaluru Kitchen Airport, which will attach it 1.7 lakh eat ready to eat a day, will operate next year.
Although this will add to the kitchen tissue in India, it will also use this facility as an export hub “to take authentic Indian cuisine overseas”.
The dining catering business in flight has been influenced by the public health crisis because many passengers, especially on short flights, it still prefers to be masked and choose not to eat on the boat.
But players have traveled to other areas such as home delivery.
Through a new kitchen at Bengaluru Airport, Sat will make 300 jobs.
Previously, the Bengaluru kitchen, which would serve the non-airlines segment, must be established by Sat Taj.
The latest developments show that Sat has decided to go solo for the facility.
“The new pandemic and normal from working from home have consumer preferences that greatly affect innovative and hygienic foods and central sats kitchens (Bengaluru Bengaluru) will serve the needs of Indian consumers,” said Sats Food Solutions India Sagar Diphe.
