Satellite images show chocolate fillings where the tree stands

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has called public hearings for logging more than 100 trees, according to experts and satellite images, has been cut.
The trial, scheduled for November 23, is expected to be a storm.
Recently, the Department of Civic’s body gardens issued a notification in local newspapers who told residents about public hearing for tree logging in various locations between the Itwari and Dirhori train stations, the National Engineering Research Institute (Neer), on Jalan Gandhibagh, on the road Gandhibagh and on Lake Futala.
Previously, the NMC called the objection letter for 121 tree logging along the edge of Lake Futala for the construction of the retaining wall.
Permissions to fall these trees are sought by Mahametro to protect existing walls and water bodies.
However, spot inspections by environmental lovers and the latest satellite images show that most of these trees have been cut without permission.
“A few months ago, there was a sign on a tree but today the trees had disappeared.
How can NMC be hearing when the contractor DP Jain and Mahametro have cut trees? NMC must immediately submit a report on the first information on the two institutions, said Environmental Activist Anasuya Kale CHHABRANI.
Satellite images sourced by Environmental Activists Kunal Mourya have oversed Wahyu who have surprised environmental lovers.
While Mahametro has asked permission to lower roadside trees, the pictures show a large patch of barren land across the lake, where, according to Activists, Parking Square should appear.
TOI compare satellite images last October, January and September this year.
While the patch of land is really green in the picture last year, it seems really barren in the picture from January.
Moreover September photos showed that Founding of extended trees.
“It is very clear that hundreds of trees have been Cut illegally.
It’s surprising how NMC hasn’t taken any action, “said Mourya.
The NMC official told Ti that they were looking for problems and conducting a place inspection Parking is from Metro Station Ajni must go to the State Tree Committee.
“Every project that includes logging of more than 200 trees must be referred to the State Level Committee.
NMC has no power to make hearings about this.
Also, there is a lot of alternative space to build a parking plaza without damaging the green cover, “activists said.
