Riyadh: Saudi Arabia will reopen its borders to Sundays for the first time in 18 months after imposing restrictions at the beginning of the pandemic to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Historically closed kingdoms introduced an electronic visa for tourists at the end of 2019, just before the pandemic hit.
Saudi Arabia is looking to change itself as a unique tourist destination for strange nature lovers and tourists as a way to increase non-oil income and create more work.
Residents of 49 Most European countries, as well as US and Chinese include entering the kingdom with new rules without quarantine if they provide a negative PCR test before traveling and having a vaccine certificate that proves two doses of Oxford / Astra Zeneca, Pfizer Vaccine BONONTECH or Moderna, or a single dose vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson.
Travelers who are vaccinated with Sinopharm or Sinovac Chinese vaccines must have received the third dose of one of the other vaccines.
Earlier this week, the kingdom warned that every citizen traveled to countries registered in red, such as the Emirate of the neighbor of Dubai where the Delta variant was present, could face a ban on three-year trips.
