Mangaluru: Former Secretary of MLC and AICC Ivan D’Souza urged the government to not close the shirris of Shiradi Ghat from the National Highway Mangaluru-Bengaluru, for making stretch four Lanes.

“No need to close the national highway completely, while taking four lanting work.
Providing alternative facilities while taking work.
Modern technology must be used to speed up the project, and the provisions must be made for vehicles to move, when the work is underway,” Ivan said.
He also appealed to all selected representatives from coastal districts to hold meetings, and demanded that the government not close the national highway during widening work.
