New Delhi: The Supreme Court has upheld the investigation of “the truth, adequacy and inability of” medical care that was expanded to the former Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa and rejected the request of Apollo Hospital who challenged the Justice TA Arumughaswamy commission.
However, Judge Nazeer and Krishna Murari, however, allowed hospitals to examine any witnesses and also led their own evidence before the commission.
It upholds the orders of the Madras High Court which refuses to interfere in the process before the commission.
The bench passed the order in the appeal submitted by the Appolo Hospitals who approached the court through Rohini Moses’s advocate.

The Commission, however, denied the allegations and told the APEX court that it held an inquiry according to law.
