New Delhi: The Supreme Court Wednesday agreed to hear the request to seek direction to the center and IIT to follow the reservation policy in revenue in the research and recruitment degree program of faculty members.

During the brief hearing, Advocate Ashwani Kumar Dubey, appeared for the Applicant Sachichida Nand Pandey, said the IITS did not follow the policy and direction of reservations can be issued by the court.
Bench said there was a lot of prayers in the petition but would only issue notice about prayer only.
Pandey has also searched for direction for the creation of mechanisms to complete students / undergraduate and research harassment and to form a technical experts committee reviewing existing faculty performance.
He also looked for cancellations about the appointment of a problematic faculty because of violations of the norm of reservation, the formation of a transparent recruitment policy.
“This was conveyed that the process of taking acceptance in the research program and the appointment of faculty members by respondents (IITS) was truly unconstitutional, illegal and arbitrary.
Respondents did not follow the reservation guidelines in accordance with the constitutional mandate,” said the application.
It is said that IITS also does not follow the transparent process to recruit faculty members who open windows for not feasible and candidates to enter iits through connections that increase corruption opportunities, favoritism and discrimination, influence the country’s internal ratings and growth of state technology.
“Respondents (IITS) completely violate reservation policies that provide reservations for social communities and marginalized SC (15 percent), ST (17 percent) and OBC (27 percent) ‘, the defense said.
