New Delhi [India], October 7 (ani): The Supreme Court on Thursday directing the center to take immediate steps to allow girls to take the entrance examination to enter in Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) which will be held on December 18, 2021.
A bench led by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul while asking the center to allow the girls to take the entrance examination to enter this year at RIMC instead of waiting until June 2022, directing the government to publish modified ads within two days to find applications from girl.
Additional lawyer General Aishwarya Bhati, appeared for the center, said that preparation for the December 1821 examination was in the advanced stage and urged him to allow induction of girls into RIMC and Rashtriya Military School (RMS) for terms starting from January 2023 and Not June 2022.

The bench, however, was not convinced by the central decision and ordered that girls would be allowed to sit on this year’s own entrance examination.
Previously, the bench had directed the Ministry of Defense to allow female candidates to sit up to the upcoming exam for the National Defense Academy.
The Apex Court now posted this problem to hear in January 2023 along with this problem related to the induction of women to the armed forces through NDA.
The Army Training Command has submitted a written statement at the APEX court in a case that states that it made the arrangement to recognize the cadet of the girl, candidate to Rimc and Rashtriya Military School (RMC) from the 2022-23 academic session.
The upper court of hearing the petition submitted by Kailas Udhavrao’s advocate with the exception of girl candidates from Rashtriya Indian military schools and other schools and colleges under the aegis from the Ministry of Defense such as the Indian Military Training School, Sainik, Saink School, Saink School.
Affidavit was stated, “Acceptance to RIMC was carried out through competitive examinations throughout India held by Biannay in June and December every year to enter in January and July.
