New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday allows the resumption of the NEET-PG and NEET-UG counseling process to receive to all Indian quota medical seats for the 2021-22 academic session with a quota of 27% EWS and 10%.

Bench said, “We received a recommendation from the Pandey Committee (Ajay Bhushan) that the EWS criteria, as notified in 2019, must be used for receiving to NEET-PG for an academic session of 2021-22.” SC said counseling for NEET-UG and NEET-PG must be carried out in accordance with Government Notifications July 29 2021, which set 27% OBC and a 10% EWS quota in the Indian quota medical chair.
Judge Chandrachud and Bopanna said the criteria for determining the EWS category, was notified in January 2019, will be used to identify candidates that have emerged for NEET-UG and NEET-PG for an academic session of 2021-22.
It is said that the validity of the EWS criteria, determined by the Pandey Committee, will prospectively for the future subject to the final result of the petition in the court challenging the criteria.
SC said he would hear the petition in the March 3 week.
