SC allows the soaking pop ganesh idols at Hussain Sagar

Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Thursday allows the worshipers and pandal organizers to immerse Ganesh’s idols made of Paris (POP) plaster at Lake Hussain Sagar for this year.
The Supreme Court has explained that such exceptions will not be available from next year and so on.
A bench headed by the Chairman of the NV Judge Ramana gave this permission after hearing Plea who filed Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar.
The High Court in Hyderabad rejected the previous Lokesh request and found a mistake with him for seeking permission from the court to pollute the lake with idol pop.
The court asked him to find a solution because of his failure which led to the situation.
There were 12 orders from the High Court who asked GHMC to protect the lake and prevent soaking there, Cji said.
But given the compulsion on the field we allowed for this year.
“For next year, you must make alternative settings first,” Cji said.
