SC Collegium recommends Kirpal’s appointment as a Delhi HC judge

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium on Monday recommends the appointment of Senior Advocate Saurabh Kirpal as the Delhi High Court Judge.
The Apex Court, in a statement, said the Collegium led by the Chairman of the Indian Judge NV Ramana has agreed to the proposal for the increase in Kirpal Advocates, the proposed height of the bench is a controversial problem because of the alleged orientation of his sexual orientation, as Judge Delhi HC.
The name Kirpal has been repeatedly sent to the government, which has previously recovered processing recommendations.
He was recommended for a height in 2017 by Delhi High Court Collegium, then led by the acting chairman of Judge Gita Mittal.
The proposal was then approved by the Collegium Apex Court.
The center, however, has objected to its recommendations which quoted alleged sexual orientation.
The controversy on its recommendations and objections reported by the center have speculated many in the judicial corridor for the past four years.
In addition, the Collegium has also decided to repeat the previous recommendations for an increase in four lawyers Tara Valasta Ganju, Anish Dayal, Amit Sharma, and Mini Pushkarna, as a judge in the Delhi High Court.
As per the statement uploaded on the Apex Court website, Collegium, at his meeting was held on November 11, at re-consideration, decided to repeat the previous recommendations for the increase in advocate Sachin Singh Rajput as the Chhattisgarh High Court Judge.
One statement said that the collegium had also decided to repeat the previous recommendations for the height of Shoba Annamma Eapen, Sanjeeetha Kalloor Arakkal, and Aravinda Kumar Babu Thavarakatil, as Judge of the Kerala High Court.
“The Supreme Court Collegium in his meeting on November 11, 2021, has been, in re-consideration, decided to repeat the previous recommendations for an increase of three justice officers as a judge in the Calcutta High Court, Ananya Bandyopadhyay, and Subhendu Samanta, and Subhendu Samanta,” One statement that.
“The Supreme Court Collegium in his meeting was held on November 11, 2021, has agreed to a proposal for the increase in Saurabh Kirpal, Advocate, as a judge in the Delhi High Court,” he said.
According to the statement, the Collegium has also approved a proposal for the increase in Jhanumati’s Judicial Officer and advocated K MANMADHA RAO as a judge in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Besides Cji, Judge Lalit and A M Khanwilkar are part of the three members of the members relating to the appointment and transfer of judges in the High Court.
