Chennai: Ten months after appointing Justice Sanjib Banerjee as chairman of the High Court Madras Madras, the Supreme Court College has now recommended his transfer to Meghalaya High Court.
“The Supreme Court Collegium in his meeting was held on September 16, he had recommended the transfer of Justice Sanjib Banerjee, Chief Justice of Madras High Court to Meghalaya High Court,” said the statement said by the Collegium.
In the same meeting, the Collegium has also recommended the transfer of Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari, assessing Allahabad High Court, to Madras HIGH Court.
On January 4, the Governor of Tamil Nadu gave an office oath for Justice Sanjib Banerjee.
Judge Sanjib Banerjee, who completed 60 years on November 2, has two more years.
