New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday searching for responses from the government up and the CBI about not acting alleged by the widow of a businessman, who was killed allegedly by six police officers at the Gorakhpur Hotel on September 27.
Meenakshi Petitioner Advocates Amit George Judge Dy Chandrachud and BV Nagaratha that even though the minister’s head has announced the entrustment of investigations into the brutal murder of his husband to the CBI, the central agent has not taken an investigation.
He said that sitting was arranged by the state government continued with an investigation and expressed fear that efforts were made to push the evidence under the carpet instead of gathering them carefully.
The bench was called the ‘serious and sensitive’ case and issued a notification to the state government and the CBI while asking them to submit their response to the petition on November 12, the next hearing date.
The widow accused that the police tried to avoid the case and opposed the registration of FIR for two days.
He also accused the police pressing him not to mention six police as accused by saying that this case would take years before reaching finality.
“The applicant was even pressed not to name the police officer and was then persuaded by high-ranking officials from local administration and police took legal streets on a surprising reason that the process in the court would take years,” he said.
The applicant said, even though CM had announced the case to the CBI and said that until the CBI took an investigation, sitting will continue with the investigation, sitting has not collected even blood stained clothes from the deceased.
“The CBI has not assumed the allegations of investigation to archiving of the current petition, although on almost three weeks have passed since the date of the official announcement,” he said and asked the court to direct.
CBI to immediately investigate into cases involving police as defendants.
