Jaipur: The Supreme Court on Friday allows school to take action against parents who do not pay 85% of the costs of students even though they are in a good economic condition for the Covid 2020-21 academic session.
The court also urged school to sympatheticly consider the case of parents who cannot pay fees.
It has also asked parents to file complaints if there are schools that try to collect more than the specified costs.
The division bench, consisting of justice is KhanwiLkar and Justice CT Ravi Kumar, gives direction.
TNN benches gave direction on Friday while throwing away the special leave (SLP) petition submitted by the Progressive and other school associations.
The Top Court also asked the High Court to consider the petition delayed about the legality of the 2016 school fees and heard parties during hearing, General Advocates (AAG) Manish Singhvi told the court that the interests of parents must be protected and students must be given assistance .
