.
Aimed at the Chairman of Indian Justice (CJI) NV Ramana, a 17-page representative was written by Dr.
Indrajit Khandekar, working as a professor of Forensic Medicine at the Medical Institute of Mahatma Gandhi (MGIM), Sevagram.
He mentioned that the family, trial and high court throughout the country asked doctors and medical boards to carry out virginity tests in women in the case of matrimonial disputes to find out whether he was a virgin or not.
Dr.
Khandekar plays an important role in prohibiting virginity tests, including two finger tests and removal of signs of virginity, from medical textbooks.
In 2010, pills were submitted in a sad and profitable report and horrendous forensic medical examination of victims who were attacked sexual ‘on the Nagpur bench Bombay High Court.
Explain the situation of the victims who were told to undergo virginity tests according to court orders, Professor Wardha said the doctors examined the membrane of women to open the size or tear, and also insert a finger (most commonly referred to as ‘two finger test’) into the vagina to measure the size Introitus or vaginal wall weakness.
According to him, studies published in famous medical journals show that hymen inspections cannot provide concerted evidence of vaginal penetration or other sexual history.
“Abnormal hymen features such as transection, laceration, enlarged opening, or scars found in women with and without a history of sexual relations.
Even the size of a hymenal opening was found as a unreliable test for vaginal penetration.
Small and the size of the vaginal introitus is also not an indicator of relationships Sexual, “he said.
Citing a statement by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Human Rights Organization, and a group of independent forensic experts, Dr.
Khandekar said that all have condemned virginity testing practices, which are scientifically unfounded and turned out to be dangerous for women who survived women Various crimes.
“My representation confirms that utilizing the opinion of non-scientific doctors about virginity in the case trial will cause miscarriage justice,” he said.
