New Delhi: Continues to provide the protection of justice to people suspected of being harassed by Tripura police because of last year’s communal violence tweeting, the Supreme Court on Monday held state police took coercive action against Journalist Samiullah Shabbir Khan.
Appearing to the Petitioner, Advocate Shahrukh Alam told Judge Dy Chandrachud and as Bopanna who only tweeted about communal violence and police rebellion with a tweet could not be interpreted as a violation and to do all the tweets since it was October and the part with cellphone numbers.
The applicant had extinguished the tweet referring to Tripura’s communal violence and accused the vandalization of places of worship while marking Tripura police to tweets.
On November 22, the Crime SP branch of Tripura Police refers to the FIR registration against it under various parts of the IPC and UPA and seeking the removal of the contents of the Twitter account with the URL / Link.
The police also asked him to give a password and cellphone number, called Khan as a dirty violation of privacy.
