New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said the West Bengal government had made a case to entertain his appeal challenging the Calcutta High Court order directed the CBI and sat probe into the violence after the polls in May after the Trinamool Congress, was led by Mamata Banerjee, Rombe House in the assembly election with a big mandate.
Vineet Judge Suggestions and Aniruddha Bose issued a notification to a group of applicants who had submitted pills in HC looking for independent investigations of violence.
HC initially ordered an investigation by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which has established a seven member committee for that purpose.
Based on the stinging NHRC report, HC on August 19 had ordered the CBI probe into the case involving the murder and investigation of the minister’s seat in May 5.
The bench posted a further hearing on the attractiveness of the WB to October 7 but did not result in senior advocate request of the Capil Sibal To mention in the order that the CBI investigation will submit to the results of the appeal.
Sibal also requested that the CBI should not register new cases and call state police officials until October 7.
But the bench said it would see all the hearing issues on the next.
SC has issued a previous notification to WB on three petitions by violent survivors after the polls and survivors of rape looking for the CBI probe.
