New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the police against the orders of the Delhi High Court who asked him to supply a copy of the witness’ statement to the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief of Manish Minister of Manish Sisodia and 11 MLA in the case related to the alleged secretary of the Secretary of the Chief then Anshu Prakash 2018.
The bench headed by Judge Dy Chyandrachud rejected Delhi police petition, by saying that in accordance with the basic principles of natural justice, there must be “strong common sense” that the defendant must have a copy of the witnesses.
Criminal cases were related to the alleged attack on prakash during the meeting at the official residence of Kejriwal on February 19, 2018.
Kejriwal, Sisodia and nine MLA AAP was given a guarantee in October 2018.
Two other MLA, Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal, given a previous guarantee by the High Court.
