New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday realized the government’s decision of Uttar Pradesh to allow ‘Kanwar Yatra’ in the state in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The bench headed by Justice R F Nariman issued a notification to the state government and posted this problem to hear on Friday.
The Yogi Adyityath government on Tuesday allowed Yatra from July 25 even though worries were raised in various quarters of the risks caused by these events in triggering the third-19-wave of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand government has canceled ‘Kanwar Yatra’ considering the third possible wave.
