New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear the request for insulting the Trinamool Congress (TMC), who claimed that the legal and order situation in Tripura “deteriorated” on that day, ahead of the election of civilian bodies in the state.
The APEX court will take the trial on the request on Tuesday.
The court previously asked the Tripura Police Authority to ensure that no political parties were prevented from practicing their rights in accordance with the law for a peaceful political campaign.
Tensions in Tripura increased after the incident of violence in election to election to Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and 12 other city bodies were scheduled for November 25.
TMC previously accused several people suffered an injury to the residence of the Trinamool Congress.
