Jaisalmer: On Sunday Jaisalmer consciously arrested the former Chairman of the Choudhary Pratip SBI from his Delhi residence in a loan fraud case a private hotel in Jaisalmer, while other defendants, Alok Dhir from the Archemist company in this case managed to escape.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Head of the Judge Judicial Court in Jaisalmer against Pratip Choudhary, Alok Dhir, RK Kapur, SV Venkatakrishnan, Sasi Methadil, Devendra Jain, Tarun and Vijay Kishore Saxena.
Choudhary will be taken to Jaisalmer on Monday.
This case is related to the property owned by Godawan Group where the properties of Rs 200 Crore sold for RS 24 Crore after they were confiscated by the bank against non-repayment of loans.
According to the police, Godawan Group has taken a loan of RS 24 Crore from SBI for the construction of hotels in 2008.
At that time, another hotel from the Group functions.
Then, when the group could not pay a loan, the bank, considering it as an asset that sprung up to the hotel.
Choudhary is the Chair of the SBI.
