SCB is starving and old to charge to lift garbage

Secunderabad: Every house in the Secunderabad Cantonment Board now has to pay a monthly fee to lift waste from their doorstep.
Houses in housing colonies will be charged Rs 100 per month and for those in the slums it will become Rs 50 per month.
The decision was taken at the SCB General Body Meeting held at the Main Office on Thursday.
SCB which starving funds hopes to get almost 10 lakh rs to rs 15 lakh per month with new retribution.
Nearly 200 metric tons of garbage was collected from around 390 housing colonies and around 40 slums, according to SCB officials.
Initially, SCB officials proposed Rs 150 for housing colonies and Rs 100 for slums.
However, it was revised after members were nominated by SCB J Rama Krishna raised objections, said the accusation was high and would burden people.
While both CEO of SCB Ajith Reddy and President Brigadier Abhijit Chandra tried to convince members on charges, they then agreed to reduce him.
Secunderabad Cantonment Trs Mla G Patanna, who attended the meeting, also agreed to revised charges.
The CEO of SCB said that they had started a garbage collection from the door to the door in the circle No.
