New Delhi: Council of Government of the State Education Research and Training Council (SCERT) has adopted the curriculum framework ‘Dishbhakti’ on Friday.
The curriculum framework presented at a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairperson of Minister Delhi Manish Sisodia, was based on the recommendation of the ‘Deshbhakti’ curriculum committee formed by the Delhi government.

The announcement of the ‘Dishbhakti’ curriculum was announced during the Delhi’s annual Budget session in March this year, aimed at creating patriotism and nationality among children studying in Delhi government schools.
Talking about the vision of the curriculum, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said: “It is very important that we bridge the gap between values and actions, and ensure that the constitutional ideals of equality, brotherhood and justice are practiced by children in their daily lives.”
The framework stated three main objectives that the curriculum would grow students – love and pride for the nation, awareness of a person’s responsibilities and tasks, and commitment to sacrifice for the country.
“The pedagogical discourse of the curriculum has been based on the principles of the 2005 National Curriculum Framework Guide and follows children’s pedagogy and critical.
It focuses on the liaison to the lives of children outside the school instead of being locked in textbooks and conventional assessments, “Said said.
The ‘Dishbhakti’ curriculum will be implemented in all Delhi government schools from the current academic session.
