New Delhi: The government has extended the suspension of international flights scheduled until November 30, 2021.
However, Vande Bharat’s mission and other flights under air bubbles will continue and people meet the requirements according to the government’s norms can fly to and from India to them.
International flights scheduled to be suspended on March 23, 2020, and the severity of the pandemic meant that even after 20 months there were no similar signs continuing at any time in a hurry.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a report on Friday expanding the suspension of international commercial passenger services scheduled to / from India until 11.59 at night (India Time) on November 30, 2021.
“This restriction does not apply to all international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA, “said Ordo.
This adds that “international scheduled flights may be permitted on routes chosen by competent authorities based on cases for cases.” In the past year, India has operated Vande Bharat Mission flights to many places and has so far formed air bubbles with several countries.
During the second covid disaster surge starting mid-April, around 20 countries had imposed restrictions such as suspension flights from India or more stringent entry norms for travelers from here.
Now, the second wave is receding, countries such as Switzerland, France, Germany and Maldives began to raise limits.
