New Delhi: The Ministry of Education Union said that a total of 26.45 Crore students had been registered in higher and higher pre-primary education in 2019-20, which was 42.3 lakh more than 2018-19.

According to Nishank, the gross registration ratio at the top primary level increased from 87.7 percent in 2018-19 to 89.7 percent in 2019-20.

Furthermore, at the secondary level, the gross registration ratio increased from 76.9 percent to 77.9 percent and increased from 50.1 percent to 51.4 percent at a higher secondary level.
The gross registration ratio at the secondary level of education increased by 10 percent in 2019-20 compared to 2012-13.
At a higher secondary level, it has increased by 11 percent.
In addition, 96.87 Lakh teachers were added to school education in 2019-20, namely 2.57 lakh more than 2018-19.
There has been a real increase in the student-teacher ratio.
This ratio was recorded at 26.5 at the primary level, 18.1 at the primary and upper middle and 26.1 level in higher middle level education.
In 2012-13, the ratio of teachers at the primary level was 34, the upper and middle primary levels were 23.1 and 29.7 and at a higher secondary level of 26.1.
In the Udise Plus report, regardless of the increase in the registration of female students, an increase in the gender equality index, facilities in schools such as electricity, computers, internet, health, have also been recorded.
Apart from this, the financial literacy workbook for grade 6 students has been curated by CBSE and NPCI.
